It also operates and maintains the City's swimming pool, baseball/softball fields, and soccer fields.

This includes the landscape maintenance of all athletic and park open areas, Granbury Regional Airport, Highway 377 Bypass, rights of way, drainage areas, City Cemetery, fire training center, water treatment plants and lift stations, water wells, City Hall, Municipal Service Center, the city beach and marina area, and many more city-owned properties.
This department also has five public restrooms to clean and stock seven days a week. The department is responsible for having baseball fields ready for play six days a week during the season, and manages and maintains the pool during the summer months. Parks personnel wash the city square and City Hall sidewalks twice a week. Community service supervision is also the responsibility of this department, which takes place each Saturday in the City Park.
This department plays a large part in the Christmas decorations that are displayed each year, and in maintaining the Moments in Time Hike / Bike Trail, as well as all new properties acquired in the future.
